The same rose in various stages of development with different lenses. All with the D700. All pictures as they came out of the camera, just lightly sharpened.

1) With the Elmarit 19mm, which I now use with a Nikon bajonet from Leitax. Just marvellous. I'm really very happy that I can use this extraordinary lense with the Nikon. Taken from the shortest possible distance, about 30cm.
@ f2.8 ISO 320

2) With the Elmarit 90mm, also 'leitaxed'.
@ f2.8 ISO 320

3) With the newly acquired(10€) Meyer Oreston 2.8/135 with the fabulous adapter from Alex aka HK300.
@ f4 ISO 1600 (I forgot to reset the ISO after taking a picture in a dark room)

Beautiful!!

The lens rendering is "duftig" (no clue how to say that in English")

Probably 'gossamery' is the closest to what I think you mean - to look something LIKE a finely spun spider's web. It is not a word often used by most people.

Totally agree with Klaus Smile

Really appealing smooth results from this lens.
