One of those lenses someone listed for $0.99 plus $3.99 shipping and nobody else bid on it.

Nikon mount, Sears label (wonder who made it?), 28-70mm, F3.5-4.5, 1:4 macro, AI/S.

Turns out to be an excellent little lens (only my second $0.99 lens). Not as tight as a nikon, not as heavy as a Kiron but still a decent little lens.

Click images for the larger versions.

Very sharp details and DOF at f8

Good colors (full frame resized).

Thats the best sort of deal !

There are a LOT of very nice lenses available for next to nothing.

Congrats!.
I love those auctions that I routinely bid "for the case" and end winning...

Congrats, that's excellent. You should take a photo of the two pennies you got back from your $5 bill.

nice find! btw Arlon I use the same WEIN adaptor to protect my sensitive cameras from the high trigger voltages of old flashes (like my Gossen GKL500F cold light+flash - ca 190Volts), works pretty neat.

I recently bought a Sears 50/1.4 based on Andy recommending it as a Tomioka made classic. He was absolutely right - it's a great lens
