nice my 400D is back from Germany
They even clean the sensor and I don't have any dust even at f22
I lost only 15minutes to shim my screen, I knew how much scotch to put.
A 100% crop of first shot with flash as it was too late
Time to play with Jup9 and the other babies waiting too long

It's not a Nikon problem, Canons have the same limitation. It's inherent to the structure of the sensors. Reds (which happen to be my favourite colour) are recorded at only 8 bit depth
So the only way to obtain decent (not good, just decent) reds on our cameras is to keep the saturation very low in order for the subtler shades to surface - and at the same time, privilege if possible those reds that are not pure, but are mixed with other colours - the crimson red of some roses usually turns out better than straight red because of the blue percentage in it which heightens the resolution of the image.
