I'm thoroughly enjoying #5. It looks in the style of a traditional (19th C) landscape to me. Rather refreshing, as putting people in your landscapes seems to be avoided if possible these days. Thanks for putting it up .

Agreed.
There is a beautiful warmth to this image which is endearing.
Full marks to the lens and the photographer

I presume you chose the lens after a study of how different versions perform. Could you tell the difference between a white KMZ and white ZOMZ versions of the lens, in terms of sharpness and colour rendition? |

I hope sergtum doesn’t mind me jumping in, I have two KMZ Mir 1 lenses, one with a goldish coating and one with the blueish coating. The gold one is noticeably sharper despite scratches on the rear element, the colors are closer to true as as well far as I can tell. Might be due to sample variation though. |

Thanks
I bought this lens in relation to an accident. I read Mr. Bittacy in the topic "Mir 1 Low Serial, Mystery, Fake? Missing part? Confused" and decided to watch the Russian electronic flea market. I saw a new cheap ad for the sale of this lens. I bought the lens out of curiosity. I was lucky. I am happy now that I have acquired this copy. I have only two lenses Mir-1 and Mir-1B. Mir-1 is definitely a winner.
